Services: Visual Identity, Messaging Strategy, Printed Materials, and Website
The Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights serves the New Orleans area as the juvenile public defender, but they also work to build opportunities youths and to transform juvenile justice for the better statewide. Seeking to rebrand after a name change and organizational shift, they came to Southpaw to develop an identity, messaging strategy, print materials, and a website.
Creating a Logo
Logo studies ranged from abstract concepts like “creating a center or safe space” and “breaking the cycle of incarceration” to more direct, figural representations of adults helping youths.
The finalized logo communicates both support, strength, and professionalism.
After renaming our organization, we knew we needed strong brand to signal our new direction. Southpaw Creative nailed it with fantastic identity supported by print and web solutions with clear, powerful messaging.
Building the Identity
We also developed logos for a few youth-led initiatives of the Center that fit within the larger brand identity.
